The 28 Year 4 students in Area 11 at Oberthur Primary School are looking forward to being part of this International Room with a View. We are more than halfway through our school year which ends a week before Christmas.

Oberthur Primary School is a suburban primary school about ten kilometres south of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia.

Our school has about 300 students from K - 7. (4 year olds to 12 year olds).

Our school is single storey spread over quite a large block of land that has many native trees in the grounds which also means there are many birds and lots of beautiful flowers.

The top picture is taken from the front of the school and the second picture is the back of the classroom block housing Area 11.

IMGP6679.JPGThis picture is the view from our classroom which was taken on a sunny but rainy day in Winter. As you see from the photo our Winter weather is very mild.

Our classroom looks onto the basketball/netball court and further across to the school oval.

September is Athletics Carnival time. Every Monday for the past 6 weeks we have been training for the races, relays and team games. On Monday 7th September we had the long jump, triple jump and softball throw.

Some of us stayed in the classroom while the jumps and throws were taking place because it was a cold, wet day. When the photo was taken the pre-primary students were exercising on the basketball court and you can see the Year 4 and 5 students in the distance in their red, gold and blue faction shirts at the jump pit.

The students were on mid-semester break until October 13th. The sun started to shine more often and the spring flowers were blooming. The garden outside the classroom has some lovely flowers and we are experiencing beautiful spring weather with temperatures in the low to mid twenties. IMG_0410.jpg
